Ok my Shimano peeps. I am looking for deep and/or wide Shimano replacement spools. Any low profile Shimano reel as I have most of them. Looking for spools that will hold 100+ yrds of 15-20lb line. I have several Curado 300es but would like to stick with 200 size reels if possible.

Go!

My Antares is a dc.......

Saw a deep spool for the 13 met, but it didn't look like it would hold enough.

Looks like you need a '12 Antares. The deep spool supposedly holds 100m (110yds) of whatever the JDM standard for 20lb is.

The '13 Met deep spool is 120 yds of JDM 16 lb. I think it's worth a shot if you can find one.

I have the Calais 200 that should fit the bill. Let me know if you want to give it a go.

Just curious... what advantage do you gain with more line?

These 2 reels will be for swimbaits. It will essentially be the same amount of line you would normally use on a baitcaster, just the line I use for swimbaits is thicker therefor needing a larger spool capacity.

You could try contacting one of the Japanese shops.  I asked Jun from Japan Tackle if there was a shallow spool for the Conquest 100 14.  He recommended a spool and special ordered it for me from Avail.  I wasn't able to find that spool listed online in English so there may be more deep options out there that we would never know about.

Im pretty sure I have a few unused deep 200 spools for the old Calais somewhere in the pile. I never got used to using a LP reel in the salt, which is why I got them if I remember correctly.
