I own a Dobyns Champ Cast Rod 7'3" MH XF FH 735 and a Dobyns Extreme Cast Rod 7'3" MH XF FH 735. Both are amazing rods. Frankly, I like the Extreme better than the G-Loomis GLX Jig & Worm Rod I have. And it is excellent for throwing frawgs and heavier jigs and such.

Just ordered a 744 to try out. Thanks everyone for you input. Now just to decide what to get next ....

Good choice. I'd have a hard time imaging you won't be pleased with it.

Nice choice BigBites1. :tongue8:  I fish nothing but Dobyn's anymore and love my 744dx! I started out  with the champion 765 for throwing the Calif swimjig rod after fishing with Matt Allen up on Clear Lake. I liked it so much I sold all my other rods and replaced them with Dobyn's. I mostly throw big swimbaits and Calif swimjigs; with about 60% of my bass over 6lbs coming on the Calif swimjig. I have stuck countless bass in the 6 to 9lb range with a few over 10lbs on my Dobyn's rods and love the way they pin the big girls and keep them pinned. I also love the way Dobyn's swimbait rods load up and cast baits like the Hudds on up to the Hinkle trout a country mile! My 744dx is a "sic" rod that I use for flukes, spinnerbaits, frogs etc.. and also handles the big girls. My son just bought that exact rod last week after I told him how much I liked mine. Besides everything I have said already one of the other main reasons I switched to Dobyn's is their customer service and warranty.....they are the nicest people and are a family run business!  g man
