Just bought a used Ranger with a Johnson Fast Strike 150 Bassmaster Classic Edition and was wondering if there is a way to tell what year it was manufactured.  It did not come with a manual or anything.  Is there a way by looking at the motor that it would tell me what year it is?????????  Thank you so much for your help  on this.

call the dealer with the serial number, its usually found on a tag by the transom bracket. Mercury usually lists the year right on the tag.

If the boat is also a Bassmaster Classic Edition, it should be the same year as the boat. That info can be found on hull identification number in the last two digits. Otherwise the sure fire way to know would be to check out he serial number on the motor as Way2Slow stated.
