Golffnutt Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Just bought a used Ranger with a Johnson Fast Strike 150 Bassmaster Classic Edition and was wondering if there is a way to tell what year it was manufactured. It did not come with a manual or anything. Is there a way by looking at the motor that it would tell me what year it is????????? Thank you so much for your help on this. Quote
Cmiller Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 call the dealer with the serial number, its usually found on a tag by the transom bracket. Mercury usually lists the year right on the tag. 1 Quote
Super User Way2slow Posted September 22, 2015 Super User Posted September 22, 2015 Yes, see if this helps. http://shop.evinrude.com/media/document/ModelNumberReference.pdf The data plate should be on the left side of the engine pivot mount. It just sticks on so hopefully someone hasn't pulled it off. Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted September 23, 2015 Super User Posted September 23, 2015 If the boat is also a Bassmaster Classic Edition, it should be the same year as the boat. That info can be found on hull identification number in the last two digits. Otherwise the sure fire way to know would be to check out he serial number on the motor as Way2Slow stated. Quote
