Super User .ghoti. Posted September 22, 2015 Author Super User Posted September 22, 2015 NIce! That thread is priceless! That's good to know. I have nine of those boxes, all full, all the same color. Plus a whole bunch more. I'll have to take some time out, get a bunch of decent pics, and post it for all to see. Quote

Super User .ghoti. Posted September 23, 2015 Author Super User Posted September 23, 2015 Just a question? Why is that specific thread considered so valuable? Don't know. Some of it looks like nice thread. Some of it not so much. He also gave me a few boxes of parts; guides hook keepers, ferrules, etc, and an old Fenwick blank. He wants me to make him a rod on the old blank. Thinking about using some of those old guides and old thread to do the build. The guides look like nothing I would wrap on a rod of mine. Some folks just like old stuff. My brother is one. He has an amazing collection of antique fishing gear. Me, I like state of the art. Quote
Super User S Hovanec Posted September 23, 2015 Super User Posted September 23, 2015 I picked up a nice box of Fuji stuff from when they got rid of their regional reps. When I need something old for a repair, I can usually find it in there. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted September 24, 2015 Author Super User Posted September 24, 2015 more old thread Quote
fats69 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 evan - cause they don't make Gudebrod thread anymore. There was talk that someone else bought them but it never panned out. Lots of folks also use it for tying jigs. Quote
