MDBowHunter Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 First off I DIDNOT catch this, its something from another site. But wow check this thing out: Quote
RB 77 Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Holy Guacamole! I have never seen anything like that in my life. That’s kind of like finding the golden ticket for the chocolate factory. Quote
Fisher-O-men Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Koi / Bass cross, very uncommon! Quote
Dypsis Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 TW posted this on Facebook a few days ago - awesome by the way. But it seems it is a rare genetic mutation. You can read more on their Facebook page. Quote
jbarnard Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 bass can have varying skin pigments while uncommon they do occur from research it appears to be a xanthic phase bass 1 Quote
BaitMonkey1984 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Could just be a lot of JJ's Magic. 4 Quote
dcmclassic Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 My wife showed me that on FB. It's pretty cool. I've caught and catch white ones or almost white due to muddy water and lack of vegetation. That color is awesome though. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted September 21, 2015 Super User Posted September 21, 2015 Goldfish interbreeding? Quote

Super User F14A-B Posted September 21, 2015 Super User Posted September 21, 2015 That is called Xanthochromism. Yea, I'm sure you would have the knowledge on such a thing, seeing how your a Veterinary Doctor. Heck, I can't even pronounce it, lol Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted September 21, 2015 Super User Posted September 21, 2015 That is freakin' awesome! There's a koi carp in one of the ponds I fish, and you can see it literally from across the pond. If bass were like that, they'd be a little easier to catch Quote
badhatharry Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Nobody thinks this might be photoshopped? A golden tongue? Really? Quote
Super User Raul Posted September 21, 2015 Super User Posted September 21, 2015 Nobody thinks this might be photoshopped? A golden tongue? Really? No photoshop no matter how good can duplicate that. Quote
MDBowHunter Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 jbanard and Raul hit the nail on the head, its definitely not photoshopped. Quote
NEBasser101 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Wow! I would want to catch that thing! Quote
davecon Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 The guy that caught it is the fellow who owns the company that made the boat I fish out of, a Gheenoe. The company is Custom Gheenoe. I've met him several times and talked to him on the phone many times. While I really don't know him personally he has always seemed like a stand up guy and I have never heard anybody say a bad word about him. Based on that I really doubt Photoshop was involved. Quote
