Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 19, 2015 Global Moderator Posted September 19, 2015 Fishing a squarebill Thursday, wasn't surprised to catch a drum, but how in the world does one eat a squarebill this deep! 1 Quote
NotnatsSamoht Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 I had one do it one day, thought I'd never get the hooks out since the crank was taking up all of its mouth. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 20, 2015 Author Global Moderator Posted September 20, 2015 A man can dream..... This one was dreaming big apparently. If I could just manage to catch one on topwater I don't know if I'd have anything else to shoot for in my fishing career. 1 Quote
kikstand454 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Salt water drum are not sheepshead. Saltwater drum are a family of fish that include redfish, black drum and spotted sea trout among others. A saltwater sheepshead is a completely different fish, and is called that because it has huge flat smiling teeth that look just like a sheep. Quote

Jake the Cake Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 So HOW did you get that crankbait out of it's mouth? I'm assuming at that point he chopped it's head off and pushed the crank on through. No possible way of getting that back safely. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 26, 2015 Author Global Moderator Posted September 26, 2015 So HOW did you get that crankbait out of it's mouth? Amazingly enough, it came out very easily. Only one point on the front hook was in the fish, the whole back hook was swinging freely. I popped one hook out and slowly removed the bait. Quote
