Super User rippin-lips Posted September 15, 2015 Super User Posted September 15, 2015 That's a good budget for a rod. All you're going to get is people pushing what they like. Wait for a sale and you should be right in your budget with most of these. You can also get a lot more rod or a good deal if you buy used. If you do a google search for best $100 or $150 rod it'll show some past threads and there will be plent of info to read. I'd try to handle them first if you can. It'll help you decide if you like it. Shimano Kistler Phenix *** Powell Dobyns Pinnacle Fenwick St. Croix G Loomis Quote

I bought 2 new ones for just under $100. Can't beat that with a 10 foot stick. 1 Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted September 15, 2015 Super User Posted September 15, 2015 Yeah, that's a good deal for 2 of them. I like the Tatula for the $90-100 price tag you can buy them for but I'd choose something different if I had $160-180 to spend on a rod. I enjoy using mine though. Nice rod for the money. Power ratings are a bit off. The medium is a medium heavy. It's more stout then any medium I own. Quote
