My 6" triple trout swims kind of cocked to one side, the faster you reel it the more it ***** to the side until it is upside down. What is the correct way to tune these problems away. Thanks

Check the line tie eyelet it must be straight up & down; 12 o'clock & 6 o'clock. If if's not add a drop of super glue so it stays aligned. Triple Trout are not a fast moving swimbait, designed for slow retrieves with pause and light jerks to change it's direction. Changing the front treble to 0wner ST 36 XXX size 1 helps.

So could it need more weight in the front? I could add another split ring. And it does it worse than other triple trouts that I have used. I am currently using gamakatsu short shank round bends in #2 with owner hyper wire split rings. I used to have st-56's in #2 but the front hook kept catching on the back joint so I switched the hooks out. It have done this with all hook configurations.

It sounds like you have done what you can, call 22nd Century lures and see if they will replace it. I don't have experience with Triple Trout under 7".

Try contacting Don Osbourne at SwimBait city or donsbaits.com, if anyone knows how to contact 22nd Century it's Don.

I throw a 9" castaic trout lure. If I reel it fast it gets squirrelly.

If I slow it down its just a tad below the surface making a perfect wake swimming natural looking real.

ST-56 is XXX, typo. The size 1 is also inappropriate for the small size 6" a Triple Trout.

For what it's worth the STS-58 size 2 is a good choice, however the OP's lure maybe defective from his reply. Owner 3 series = X, 4 = XX, 5 = XXX, X = wire diameter strength.

Increasing the front hook size and weight acts like a keel for some swimmers.

Try putting a snap on the eye or using a loop knot to give the bait more freedom to move.  I did this with my 10" baits.  Where did you purchase the baits, how old are they?  I had to return 2 floaters that ended up being sinkers.  But I purchase mine here in S.Cal from Performance Tackle in person.  The bait may be weighted wrong from Triple Trout.  Just some thoughts, and ideas.

The line tie has little effect on lipless multi jointed swimbaits. Even if they are very crooked the bait should still swim straight. If your bait is leaning, its a ballast issue. If you swapped out heavy hooks for lighter ones then that can throw off the balance. If I had to guess I would say the weight inside the bait is not centered. Or the hooks are to light to properly balance the bait. You could wrap some soldering wire around the hook shank or put a little lead tape on the bottom of the bait.

I used a suspend strip on the part of the body and it fixed the issue for me.  The 6" tripple trout seems to sometimes have issues. never had any problems with the 7" and up.

TT's are meant to be burned about as fast as you can reel them in. i thought i was reeling fast enough till i saw southern trout eaters.

I give up, I added huge split rings to my triple trout and it will still swim upside down if I reel it fast enough. I dont know what to do, and I have no confidence with I sideways swimming bait
