Super User gulfcaptain Posted January 25, 2016 Super User Posted January 25, 2016 Yes, I was hoping for New England, but Denver played a hell of a game. Both teams left everything on the field. Denver's defense will have their hands full with Carolina. Let us hope the Denver from 2 years ago isn't the team that shows up in 2 weeks otherwise Denver will look like Arizona did last night. Now Carolina never let up and kept their foot on the gas the whole game. Big difference then how they played last week. Think that last night was a "we are legit" show to hush the many who believed they were all hipe and weren't as good as their record showed. There's a lot of humble pie for those who doubted Carolina's power. So as much as Maning may want to win a second ring, I'm going with the Panthers. But I do hope Denver's defense figures out how to shut down Cam so at least it will be a fun and close game to watch. 1 Quote
Derekbass02 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Carolina proved that Arizona isn't as good as the looked in the regular season. I think Carolina wins 2 weeks from now Quote
Super User bigbill Posted January 25, 2016 Super User Posted January 25, 2016 Monday morning quarter backing it seems belichek is wining. Brady too. I guess losing is hard to accept. Second is the first place loser. Where's those hot wings? i think Denver will step up to Carolina and make it a battle of the defense. We may see a great game. Note,, when the new stadium was being built the jets in the meadowlands they practiced at central high school in Bridgeport,ct. I worked at a fast food place where they ate after practice. I was the day cook but went in at 10pm to feed these players. These players were big guys and hungry. I made them tripple and quad quarter pounders. Double steak sandwiches. They packed in the beef. craww Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Hope I'm wrong as I'd like a competitive game but I think Carolina wins with a 3+ possession lead. They're a really complete team, Cam is the best player in the NFL at making a first down happen when needed. It's a tremendous card to play in situational football. You just can't game plan for a guy with that kind of vision, size/reach, and athleticism. Both Defenses are good, but the way panthers bring pressure from the middle with those two monster DT's just causes so many problems. You can deal with pressure off the edge to a degree, but the way Short and Star just collapse everything offenses have a HARD time dealing with that. Quote

I've heard a lot of acceptance of blame by coaches and players, but no whining. 1 Quote

I'm a Pats fan, there isn't any whining going on. Both teams played great games. Scored the same amount of field goals and touchdowns, but came down to a missed extra point that came back to bite them at the end of the game. Stop trying to stir the pot because of your personal views and issues. New England played a great game but didn't come out ahead and I gave props to Denver's D, they played a hell of a game and brought it against Brady. I hope they play that good against Carolina so it's not a onesided game as lastnights blowout was against Arizona. And to your issue with Brady and Belicheck, they have next year to set themselves up for a 5th Superbowl win and be the first ones to win 5. So New England fans will still continue to respect their team and appriciate how hard they played, compliment the team that beat them when they played a great game and wait until next year to see if we make it back to the Championship game and another shot. You can go back to disagreeing and name calling. "drops mic and walks off as I has nothing left to say on this topic" 2 Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted January 25, 2016 Super User Posted January 25, 2016 This thread is full of Pats haters, it's comical. Part of me wanted to see them win yesterday just to spite the haters. Being a Cowboys fan, I can kind of relate to the Pats fans. 3 Quote

I hope you are right. The Denver defense has to keep the Broncos in the game. We know the Panthers are going to score some points, but can't afford a "shoot-out". Peyton is a warrior, I expect his best game of the year. Quote
Derekbass02 Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Arizona is better then Denver. Arizona got killed by Carolina. Final score: Carolina 35 Denver 14 Quote
