I want to put some good quality treble hooks on a new zara spook. I don't know what size to get. Does anyone know what size I should order?

its the normal size 2 treble spook. Like 3 or 3 1/2" long. Thanks

The puppies (3") have size 6 hooks. I like owner st-36 in most of my treble hook replacement needs.

I replace all my bait's hooks with the Mustad KVD 1X short 2X strong  EWG trebles.  I have a lot less fish loss once they hook up, and because of the hook design, I've had I believe one hook that bent out to where a regular treble would be.  Let me catch the fish and then just replaced the hook. But if you already went with the Owner ST-36's, maybe check these out on the next run of treble swaps.

I put Owner St-36s on my Spooks. I use a #2 on full size spooks, #4 on super spook Jr, and #8 on the Zara Puppy.

They are too heavy and make a spook sit too low in the water, on a crankbait I could see them but not on a topwater or jerkbait. Stick with the ST-36 for the Spooks but size will depend on what you have. If you have the original Zara Spook with the hook hangars then you need big hooks, size 1/0, with the Super Spook Jr. or the Super Spook you need size #4, a set of 2 for the Jr. and a set of 3 for the Super Spook.

My spooks are not connected with split rings  , they are connected with hook hangers. So I just have never changed the hooks .
