Super User F14A-B Posted September 11, 2015 Super User Posted September 11, 2015 Yes Sir, Truly a day I remember with great clarity as I watched it.. Tragic indeed. God Bless this great nation yet again.. I still ponder those brave men & women who took the controls away & crashed the plane in a field.. What incredible bravery, honor & integrity.. God bless all of the people of our country.. 3 Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted September 11, 2015 Super User Posted September 11, 2015 I was one year old at the time; far too young to remember. What a tragic day and one that shook the entire world. This photo has gone viral since, taken the day before the attacks: http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/World-Trade-Center-Rainbow-Photo-Eve-of-September-11-Ben-Sturner-326532051.html Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 12, 2015 Global Moderator Posted September 12, 2015 As much as everyone remembers the planes crashing into the towers, I think a lot forget about the folks that fought and gave their lives to prevent a much greater loss of life. True American hero's died in that field, people who didn't sign up to protect their country but still did so when called on. I remember it very vividly. I was a freshman in high school, coincidentally enough, I was in American History class when it happened. Our teacher got a phone call and it was obvious something earthshaking was going on. When he turned the TV on and we watched that second plane hit the building, my body went numb with disbelief and then rage when I realized what was happening. I don't think there was a boy in that room that wasn't ready to fight that day had we not all been 14 years old at the time. Quote
