Super User Catt Posted May 10, 2007 Super User Posted May 10, 2007 Has any one seen the Samurai Hog/Sabertail Bug video Quote
Cephkiller Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Dangit! There's another soft bait I don't need but will probably buy now. Thanks a lot. Quote
The_Natural Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 I don't buy very many new soft baits that hit the market; I have quite a backstock of old standby's that I just replenish with. However, when I saw the Sabertail Bug in Academy, I just knew it would be totally bad-arse finesse jig trailer, and I was confident enough just by looking at it that I bought 8 packs. Thanks for the video...that just solidifies my instincts. Quote
CrazedL.IFisherman Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 All i can say is im speechless, that is amazing how that thing flops around like that, there goes another lure added to the buy me list Quote
Super User Catt Posted May 10, 2007 Author Super User Posted May 10, 2007 First off I simply love fishing plastics of any kind but it is hard to get me to try new baits based solely on name alone. Heck I just got my first packs of Paca Craws and Spot Remover Jigs 3 or 4 weeks ago. Natural I see you're in Norman Oak, what colors did you buy? I have a nephew in Norman so I can get him to send me some. Best of all they are made by Berkley Power Baits Quote
Super User T-rig Posted May 10, 2007 Super User Posted May 10, 2007 I caught my PB on a Sabertail bug and many others! They work great also as a jig trailer. Quote
The_Natural Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 I bought the 'breen' color, which looks awesome in person. It's like a brown or green pumpkin with a green shimmer. Can't wait to try them out now! Quote
pipho Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 I also bought a couple packs, that video just gave me more confidence in them. Also did you guys look at the butterfly craw video too? Quote
bassman1282 Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 Best of all they are made by Berkley Power Baits LOL! Is that suppsed to be good? Berkeley hasnt made anything innovative in 5 years until this now, and I'm sure they stole that off someone. Quote

I have caught more fish on Powerbait than I can even count. You should probably stay away from it, though. It's not very innovative. Quote
WhiteMike1018 Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 Thanks for the vid! I have some sabertail bugs, they work great. I like using them for smallies. Quote
jomatty Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 that is some sick action. most impressive to me was the walking action on the bottom. really looks like something crawling along. matt Quote
