just realized theres only one hook hanger. why didn't you put 2 hook hangers on a 5.75" bait??

A great looking swimmer there Ben. That single hook system will work just fine, it just needs to be a couple sizes larger.

I was going to put a hook on the tail section but the fin would have been in the way. Also, I wasn't sure if it would deaden the action any. If I build any more I'll probably put a second hook on the tail behind the belly fin but I'll use a size smaller than the front hook. Or I may just put on a larger hook. I might have on this one, but the only hooks that I had that were larger than the hook I did use were 5/0, and I used a size 2.

thats a nice bait . i always wondered why none of the big swimbait makers never made that many (if any at all) catfish swim baits . in a lake i fish , i have personally seen alot of bass eat young catfish very aggresively . again , nice bait and good species choice , im positive it will get hammered ;)

Great attention to detail. But you could mold some soft plastic fins for an idea.
