Hurricane Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Haven't had much of a chance to get out on Lake Erie or the Niagara River much this year due to the fact that my wife works weekends at Mercy Hospital and I am home with the kids..Plus she is 9 months pregnant. So last Sunday was the 2nd and last fishing trip on the river this year. . Was using an Eco Pro spinnerbait when I hooked into this fish.. It was amazing and I still can't believe I caught this Muskie.. 50 inches and 18lbs... on 12 pound Berkley iron silk.. 3 Quote
Hurricane Posted September 5, 2015 Author Posted September 5, 2015 Best thing about it was I was fishing for smallmouth and 15 minutes before I caught this fish I told my brother in law the fact that I haven't caught a muskie or pike in almost 2 years. . Quote
Super User Scott F Posted September 5, 2015 Super User Posted September 5, 2015 One of your measurement numbers is off. An 18 pound musky is normally around 40 inches long. A 50 inch musky is closer to 30 pounds. Either that or that is the skinniest 50 incher ever. Either way, nice fish. Congrats. Quote
Lunker Addict Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 That is a great looking fish, thanks for sharing. I wouldn't mind hooking in to something like that some day. Quote

bassh8er Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Congrats on the fish and kid. I will say, however, that I just had the first born on 8/17 and have been fishing 6 times since then. Your wife will understand; no reason to shut it down for the year. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted September 5, 2015 Super User Posted September 5, 2015 Nice muskie! Congrats! Go BILLS!! Quote
