Super User ChrisD46 Posted September 5, 2015 Super User Posted September 5, 2015 Safe to say the Yamamoto Senko holds the #1 slot for best action in a wacky rigged stick bait ... Who would you put in the runner up slot for ONLY best action (not interested in longest lasting stick bait here - only the best action stick bait wacky rigged !) : Yum Dinger ? Strike King Shim - E - Stick ? BPS Stik - O - Worm ? Thanks in advance for your replies !! Quote
poisonokie Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 My 2nd favorite is the Megabass dot crawler, only because they fall apart even easier than senkos. Quote
poisonokie Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 been wanting to try a jackall flick shake worm, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Quote
jtharris3 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Next to the Senko, I really like the Yum Dingers. 1 Quote
long island basser Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I haven't bought a bag of senko's in probably ten years now. There are many brands that work as well and better. Some have been mentioned. Quote
Super User ChrisD46 Posted September 6, 2015 Author Super User Posted September 6, 2015 For those who have used - how would you rate the wacky rigged action of a Big Bite Trick Stick ? ...I see this soft plastic showing up at more and more stores . Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 6, 2015 Super User Posted September 6, 2015 To get maximum effectiveness out of plastic lure one must consider rate of fall! I throw Yamamoto's Senko, Yum's Dinger, & Big Bite's Trick Stick; each has a different formula of ingredients including salt which results in varying rates of fall. Quote
Super User ChrisD46 Posted September 7, 2015 Author Super User Posted September 7, 2015 I saw a TW exclusive showing a newer formula Big Bite Baits Trick Stick called the : "Super Soft" Stick ...Anybody used this before ? Quote
Primus Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Besides the Senko, I like the Jackall Flick Shake. I highly suggest fishing the Flick Shake with Jackall's tungsten jigheads, 1/16 works well . The nice thing about this is that it is not a Senko clone in terms of profile, I throw this on 6 lb Florocarbon . Quote
Silas Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 been wanting to try a jackall flick shake worm, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. The Flick Shake is your favorite one. It's thin profile makes hookups easy. I'm not happy with fat worms. I don't need the weight because I'm casting with Pixies and M/light rods and 6# line. 1 Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted September 14, 2015 Super User Posted September 14, 2015 I'm not sure what the point is.. That makes two of us. If you like senkos and they work for you, AND your comfortable paying what they cost stick with them, changing the name on the bag is not going to somehow be magic. Personally, I use Yum dingers, I have not used a senko in 3 years and my results with stick baits has not dropped off at all. If they are not biting it, I switch to a different presentation altogether. Having multiple brands of the same style of bait and switching between brands hoping that that's the trigger is, IMHO, an exercise in stupidity. 2 Quote

If they're not biting one stick bait, I'm not going to try 5 others with different rates of fall. Perhaps once in a while switching to another rate of fall could trigger the bite, but I don't have the patience to do that. Maybe I should! Hard to find the balance between K.I.S.S. and little details that make a big difference. Quote
