Hi everyone,got some questions?

1 are the TRD baits actually a floating bait or the same as Zingers just cut up?

2 over all what do you use? The Z MAN products,or just cut up Senok type baits?

Thank you for your time everybody......

All zman baits eventually float after some use. They are more bouyant than other similar baits, but will still sink due to the salt in them. After a little use, they float like a cork.

Use the TRD for your Ned rig. You wont' be disappointed. Put a little dab of super glue to the back of your mushroom head and attach the trd to that, and you will really save the bait.

TRD, Zinkerz, Hula Stickz, Finesse wormz, finesse minnowz, all great on a Ned. Other baits will work but the Elastec baits are head and shoulders better for the rig.

Ah. I read the title too fast: "Z-man turd slingers..."

I have been fishing plastic bodies of all kinds on small jigheads for years, and never realized it was a "thing" until I started reading about the ned rig.  But, man, z-man has really perfected this sort of thing with the elaztech baits...I think I've had the same TRD rigged for three months, I don't know how many fish, and it doesn't seem worn out yet (not like I've been fishing every day, constantly, but still, I can't say that about anything else).

I have had really good luck with Zman,It seems the more you fish them the more they float.

Thanks for all the good info everyone.

What length of rod and action do you all use, what type of line and size has worked out for you?

I fish mine on 6lb FC leader with 10lb braid on a 6'10" finesse/dropshot rod.

Nailed it. I use 10lb braid with a 8-10 pound fluoro leader to help combat the zebra mussels. I use a 30 size Pfluegar Supreme XT on a 6' 10" ML/XF St. Croix LTB.

I throw mine on a 7' M Shimano Clarus , 2500 reel, 10lb braid and 10lb fluoro leader.

I fish a lot of rocky rivers and snag quite a few off but they do last forever otherwise.  I use a 6'10" phenix maxim ML rod and a lews speed spool reel.

Z-Man 1/6 oz. Shroomz jighead with a Hula Stickz with the tentacles cut off. Voila! Upsized Turd rig.
