clh121787 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I like the red dirt kind of country, only time I get to listen to it on the radio is on sunday nights for 2 hours on one of our local stations. Other than that you NEVER hear any of it on the radio. Thank god I have a 6 disc cd changer, and its full of the good stuff!! red dirt go hard! Quote
stkbassn Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Lol I already use Pandora ALOT but I still like listening to the radio in the car... Time to get Sirius man! Stop messing around. See what I did there ...ha. Jam On , station 29 Quote
desmobob Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I'm so far out in the sticks, I can't get ANY radio reception in my favorite fishing areas. And my boat doesn't have enough console space for a stereo. So I bought an iPod Touch. It's an awesome gadget, but I made the mistake of listening to advice on what size to buy. "You only need the 16GB version. It will hold about 4K songs." WRONG! I cannot fit nearly as much music as I want to on it and regret not buying a larger one. But anyway, I love it, it works great, has a great camera, lots of handy apps, etc. It's literally an iPhone 6 without the phone (I don't own a cell phone!). I bring a good wireless stereo speaker (TDK Trek Max A34) in the boat with me and enjoy great music and no commercials all day. Tight lines, Bob Quote

Super User bigbill Posted December 17, 2015 Super User Posted December 17, 2015 The best station locally is WPLR 99.1 old rock 80's. Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted December 17, 2015 Super User Posted December 17, 2015 I loved that station, I remember they always played 6 songs in a row then ran commercials, called it a six pack. At least we have 92.9 now, it was a good five or so years without a modern rock station. I listned to A LOT of CDs during those days haha. Yeah 92.9 Isn't too bad now. I guess they finally figure out that having two stations that play older rock wasn't the greatest setup. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted December 17, 2015 Super User Posted December 17, 2015 Pandora. After setting a station you can thumbs down the songs you don't like, probably the best feature. Quote
Josh Smith Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Anyone here use LPs? Those are my first choices, with FLAC a close second, especially as storage space gets cheaper. Josh Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted December 17, 2015 Super User Posted December 17, 2015 Pandora or SiriusXM. If you like Howard Stern, he just signed on for another 5 years. If not, get as much of your own library on your phone as you can.... I still own vinyl, but they're tough to play in my truck... Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted December 17, 2015 Super User Posted December 17, 2015 You may just need one of these Quote
