Country is not even country any more. Florida Georgia Line is all about this Country Rap or C-rap for short. I could shorten it even more!

There is a station here called Kix Country that still plays all the classics! Wonder how long they will last.... They've been around for 60 years

Iron Maidens new album is amazing. .

It should be. They haven't put out a good album since Piece of Mind. They've had 30 years to perfect it. :wink2:

Not a fan of rap. We listen to classical music, country and Spanish music as well.

Funny story.

My wife and I were having dinner with one my NFL clients and his wife a few months ago. Nice couple.  They come to the house and pick us up in his big Bentley sedan.  We get into the back seat, say our hellos and settle in, and make note of his music choice.  Every other word is 'Ni**** shi* f***'.... repeated over and over and over.  We look at each other and I know my wife is thinking..."It's going to be a long drive".  lol

Sure you were. We all know it was Raider and his 1985 Yugo.

As for Music. I have to listen to the Radio at work. Becasue they don't swear, and say other things. I cant get in trouble with pg-13 radio station vs my untied cds. The only problem I have with one of the three rock stations I get. It went from playing a mix of songs from the 70-today.To a more of a top 40 station, but with rock. When I was going to school. I would hear the same 3-4 songs. On both to and from school. Over a eight hour shift I bet I hear the same 5 finger death punch song 5-6 times a day.

You have my condolences, C&G.

I still recall, with a heavy heart, the day that Milwaukee's only Album Oriented Rock (AOR) station went off the air; March 24, 1979.

Had I not discovered that station when I did, I'd have probably ended up listening to Bee Gees, ABBA, and Donna Summer.

Thank goodness for ZMF.

Another vote for Sirius/XM or IHeartRadio/TuneIn radio apps. Tune in has at least one country classic station, IHeart allows you to create your own stations, and Sirius/XM is truly amazing.

I started looking for alternatives when my favorite rock station-WFNX out of Boston-closed down a few years back. All of the local radio (Top 40/Garbage New country/assorted crap/Boston sports talk) is so bad it's worth the cost.

another vote for Sirius. Anything you want, any time, anywhere. And I don't have to do anything to get it, except turn on the radio.

How much are you guys paying for Sirius . I don`t use the car enough to spend the money.

Same thing happened around here probably 6 or 7 years ago. The station was 99.9 The Carp and they'd always do these funny skits during commercial breaks. Well I turned it on one day in the middle of summer and there was Christmas music playing figured it was a skit so I changed it to a different station and flipped it back about 5 minutes later and still Christmas music. Monday morning BOB FM was born, a computer run mix station that there's already a bunch of around here. There was an uproar in the Chippewa Valley. There were talks of people boycotting any business that advertised on that station. It took a while but they finally transitioned one of their classic rock stations into more modern rock, but the Carp is still missed. I feel your pain man!

I loved that station, I remember they always played 6 songs in a row then ran commercials, called it a six pack. At least we have 92.9 now, it was a good five or so years without a modern rock station. I listned to A LOT of CDs during those days haha.
