Qgudaitis7121 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I was wondering what is the best micro guide rod for $150 or less Quote
Penguino Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 smoke micro guide is pretty sick. Another rod to look into is the micro magic Quote
Super User S Hovanec Posted September 3, 2015 Super User Posted September 3, 2015 Actually, only you can answer that. What is the rods intended use? Will it be used in waters where you will pick up algae, feathers, cottonwood, dogwood? Will you fish it in icing conditions. If you answered yes to any of that, you should steer away from a 'micro' guide rod. While they have their time and place and really shine in many applications, they aren't the one size fits all solution that the rod manufacturers would like you to believe. This dead horse has been beaten many times on here. 1 Quote
poisonokie Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I've seen Daiwa Lexa micro guide rods going for like $60. I don't have any microguide rods, but I do have a lexa and it's a really nice worm/jig rod. Light, powerful, nice components. I am getting a bfs rod with micro guides because to me that's where they will be the most beneficial. As far as pitching rods, etc, I'll stick with new concept style guides. Quote
SenkoGuru Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 There is not one that is even close to the Duckett Micro Magic Pro Quote
