Hey guys just bought this drop shot rod off Buzzed Bait. I tried my Ci4 and Ci4+ on it and both felt the same weight wise. Balance point with either about even with hook keeper (which is in the worst possible location I may add). Any of you guys have this rod and what reel do you have on it?

I may end up just grabbing another ci4+ or a ci4 off eBay if I can find one cheap. But if something balances better I want to know! Lol

Thanks

Sustain should move the balance point back a bit, or any heavier reel. I have Complex CI4 2500HGS F6's on mine and like the balance just fine. Brian.

The Sustain is USDM, the 2500 & 3000 weigh in at 8.3oz., while the CI4+ 2500 weighs in at 6.8 while the 3000 is at 7.0 oz.. The Complex is a JDM and I have them on 6'8"-7'6" and the balance has never bothered me, can't remember the reel weight offhand. The Cumara 6'8" MH/Ext. Fast w/the Complex are joys to fish with, spooled the combo weighs in at 8.5oz.'s. Brian.

Yeah I was wondering the on the complex. I have a SustainFG 6000 for saltwater love it! Gonna check out the JDM stuff. The Stradic seems to weight a oz or 2 too light for the Rod.
