I'm thinking about making baby duck crankbaits.

Does anyone use these?

I need to figure out the orange yellow feet/legs?

I'm thinking a Buzzbait prop in the front.

I have never used them but i bet they would work great. Mabey try a couple small orange/yellow colorado blades hanging from sides for legs?I can see where even spinnerbait skirts like they use for the frog legs would work if they would'nt get in the way of the hooks.I think you have a great idea.Post pictures if you get one finished. It would be interesting to see.

I have 2 of them made buy Pursuader Baits.  When you retrieve them it gives them a slight side to side motion.  Did a bit of customizing and clear coated some duck feathers on the bottom of one (other is a back up) to give it a more natural look.

Here r my ducks before. 2" long.

I found orange grubs for legs

Yellow feathers for the sides

A buzz blade for the front.

Spinnerbait wire to hold it all together.

I made one out of a rubber ducky and beetle spin like that guy on YouTube that was before saw his I think the one I built is lot more stairght forward and simpler to build it takes me only ten mins to build one. I'm currently working on bluiding a monster duck I use frog hooks to hold the feet with a simple mod the only thing I wish I could figure out is to make it weed less so I'm up for ideas on that. But I caught a lot of bass in my inercity ponds helps a lot fishing in the city

It's a really good idea if you have any questions on how I built mine I will be glad to help. But I grantee you you will be glad you have one or three of these in your tacklebox how I fish mine is I have a steady reel and do small rapid jerks like I Parkinson's and stop it now and then it imitates a baby duck putting it in high gear with a small little feet

I have personally seen large bass swallow baby ducks whole so I am certain that a baby duck crankbait/topwater will be a good lure to make.

This guy makes a very nice baby duck wakebait.

That's a trap bass baits duck, I've seen him in Instagram and his lures look great

Do baby duck crankbaits only work in spring?  :Idontknow:

Good question, right after the hatch, or do they work like any topwater and draw bites year round? I noticed that there is a marked decline in bites when I'm throwing my Flip n the Bird, hollow body.

I purchased the trap bass duck lure too but I need a setup with new braid to use it. I can't afford to lose any duck lures.
