Prep for winter.

Clean your fireplace and woodstove chimneys.

Don't forget to have your oil burner serviced.

Don't forget to clean the intake filter on your hot air furnace.

Clean your dryer vent hose too.

Put seafoam stabilizer in all your power equipment.

It will keep the gas fresh.

Stock up on bird seed. Our feathered Freinds need to eat too.

I stock up on corn for the deer. When there's three feet of snow cover for months it's hard on them. Plus the turkeys show up too.

It's almost time for the humming birds and barn swallows to migrate.

The summer went by so fast. Well we can still bass fish.

Why would anyone live in a place you have to do all that prep? My winter prep, tie a float n fly rig on, put on a light jacket, keep fishing.

It's almost the time of year for the grass to die!!!!! No more weedwhacking!!!!!

Also, it's almost the time of year for the bass bite to get better; it's been a tough summer in these parts.

Considering that both TB & CWD can be spread year round through artificial feeding it becomes the bigger issue.

The does I fed as fawns return with there year-long fawns and one and two year olds to feed only during hard times. When the snow is gone there gone. The buck is 275/300lbs. He's spreading his genes. I invested in my food plot too.

See less people on the water...enjoy the soon approaching fall colors...try different techniques...fish places that have to many people now.  Enjoy what our Great Lord has created.

The east coast of Alabama is Georgia. We don't get hurricanes here. The worst is a tropical storm strength by the time it gets this far inland and they are awesome fishing times. Very low BP, warm wind, and light rain. Even if we get flooding that just means more current and better bite.

I get reports emailed to me daily so I know what I'm missing, not happy about either.

Some may be aware I have fractured spine, have done no fishing at all.  The doc gave me the all clear to go at my pace, I ventured out to the ICW yesterday but thought better of re injuring myself, bonita are running and they can be monsters.

My wife tells me to go to my ponds here, I said to fish 90 degree weather for 12-15" fish, no future in that other than to get out of the house.  I can wait till I get stronger, even the canal bass get much bigger in a few months.

Hope you get better soon.  Your right about getting out of the house....love all kinds of catching personally.
