fishinphilly Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 How much do you pay to fill up your boat? Quote
badhatharry Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Of course depends on what refinery blew up today, but usually between $70 and & $90. 3 Quote
Canyon explorer Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 50 gal x $2.50 = $125. plus oil @ $20. gal. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted August 24, 2015 Super User Posted August 24, 2015 Over 100 dollars. The boat I use the most though 0.00 . Quote
lo n slo Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Around $60, give or take, depending on the price of Ethanol free gas Quote
Dave Jakes Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Ahhhh, another reason I love kayak fishing. 1 Quote

Super User bigbill Posted August 24, 2015 Super User Posted August 24, 2015 I feel if you can afford the boat, truck or car you can afford the gas. I don't drink or gamble or smoke. I'm a tackle hoarder. Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted August 25, 2015 Super User Posted August 25, 2015 Never paid more than $9 over the past 7 years, but finally upgraded the boat this spring and now it's not unusual to pay as much as $12-$13 for a full tank, and a little more often, too. -T9 Quote
BaitMonkey1984 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 In my aluminum boat with 3 gal tank- about 15 for gas/oil/marvel mystery oil/seafoam/star ton stabilizer concoction. In my Ranger filled iwith a premium and the same concoction around $150.00. I don't generally mind filling up the boat- just do not like those few days when the truck and the boat are both bone dry- that makes for an expensive day. Quote
zachb34 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 $15 in a 6.6 gallon tank and I can run it comfortably WOT for 4-6 trips. I however will not win any races against a bass boat. Quote
Super User S Hovanec Posted August 25, 2015 Super User Posted August 25, 2015 My boat holds 32 gallons. First fill up of the year is a killer. After that, its usually no more than 5-7 gallons a trip. I love my Honda! Quote
joefish Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Only fill the tank once a year when going into Canadian wilderness. 24 gallon tank and normally only put $20 in at a time and can get 3-4 trips on that. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted August 25, 2015 Super User Posted August 25, 2015 How much does it cost to fill up my boat? That is a question that is so vague that it has so many variables as to make any responses meaningless. Quote
Ski213 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 From dead empty its 120 something plus sea foam and oil right now. It always hurts my feelings a little to pull up to the pumps and stick the card in the pump next to the truck and get it going then walk back to the boat and do the same. Then I just stand back and watch a chunk of my paycheck evaporate. Gotta pay to play though I guess. 1 Quote
Fisher-O-men Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 How much do you pay to fill up your boat? With what? Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 25, 2015 Global Moderator Posted August 25, 2015 33 gallonsX about $3 a gallon for ethanol free=$99 I normally put about $20 or $30 at a time in though. The biggest lake I fish regularly is only 7,000 acres so even a really long run is only a few miles. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted August 25, 2015 Super User Posted August 25, 2015 As Long Mike said, the question is meaningless. I have a Nitro Z8 with a 58 gallon tank, and a 200 horsepower Merc hanging off the transom. A full tank of fuel will last me more than a season around here. When I've gone on the road trips is horse of a different color. Probably burned about 15 gallons per day on the large impoundments. Around here I burn less than two gallons per day. Keep in mind the ponds around here are relatively small, averaging a couple of miles from one end to the other, and less than a mile across. I'm guessing it costs as much to keep the trolling motor batteries charged as it does to pay for the fuel I burn. That's just a guess. One thing is certain. I burn a lot more fuel hauling the big boat around than I burn on the water. 1 Quote
LuckyGia Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 44 gallons x going rate.... approximately $120 + $45 gallon pre mix oil. Quote
