Jaw1 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Anyone had much luck with them. I've tried but they don't produce for me. I've fished them in situation where I would normally use a wheelchair or #5 shad rap. Cooler water and warmer but no luck yet. What's your technique or situation for this bait Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted August 24, 2015 Super User Posted August 24, 2015 Tons of luck with them..as well as the evergreen sledge escarda, a similar bait. I do have issues with the light wire hooks bending. Late season, retrieving stop and go style. Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted August 24, 2015 Super User Posted August 24, 2015 I have one in the perch color and it always works very well for me in the spring and fall (cooler water). I love that it floats and comes up fairly quickly. These jerkbaits excel for me in situations where its skinny water, whether its shallow or the weeds aren't far below the surface. My only recommendation is switching out the stock hooks for something with a heavier wire. Quote
Sea NaCl Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I generally use them in cooler water during the fall and spring. But, i think the price is a little high for what you get. Quote
Jaw1 Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 Thanks guys. Cooler water is what I thought also. Guess I just need to fish them more and give them time. I get impatient and pick up a shad rap. Quote
