Kowen117 Posted October 31, 2009 Author Posted October 31, 2009 well I'm not really looking to save money I really like the fact that i can customize any rod for example I love split grips but cant get them on all the rods i like also i can put different guides on the rods. By the way has anyone seen a place that sells carrot stix blanks i was looking around for the stuff i need to get started and deiced to look for some rod blanks and cant find a carrot stix one Quote
ABLE2DISABLE1 Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 E21 fishing carrat stixs.com-150 and up. Quote
BobP Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 You can save $$ building a rod on a high end blank vs buying a factory rod with that blank. As blanks get below $100, you begin to lose that advantage. But if you want a split grip, no foregrip, spiral wrapped rod, you either build it yourself or buy custom. Quote
Super User .RM. Posted November 1, 2009 Super User Posted November 1, 2009 By the way has anyone seen a place that sells carrot stix blanks E21 doesn't release their blanks for the custom rod industry. If you really want high end blanks start looking at North Fork Composite blanks (they are the NEW GEN Loomis).Good Luck & Tight Wraps!!! Quote
