I purchased my first boat today. Its a 14' alumacraft mod.V, With a 9.9 Johnson outboard on it and a trolling motor up front. Its not much but im very excited to have it. I got everything listed on a tilt trailer for only $300! Right place right time with cash in hand.

Lets see, $300 for boat motor and trailer,  I would expect a boat almost as old as me, been patched a few times and still leaks, a 60's Sears Game Fisher 9.9 motor that needs work, and homemade trailer built on an on straight front axle from an old car.

If that' does not describe what you got, you got a good deal,

Congratulation on your first boat.

I know you'll enjoy it.

Good Luck

Congrats on the first boat.  Hopefully you have another $300+ lying around to put the personal touches on it.  I know that's what I felt I needed to do as soon as i bought my first boat.

Whats the old saying

2 best days of owning a boat.

The day you buy it, and the day you sell it.

Congratulations!  The Johnson 9.9 has an almost legendary reputation around my parts.  And Alumacraft makes a nice boat.  Sounds like you got a GREAT deal.

I hope you have lots of fun with it!

Be safe,

Bob
