YaketyYak Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Hey man, I live right near Diascund and most of those other ones you listed. I usually go to Diascund the most since it's the closest but have only been out a couple times this year. I'm trying to get out more now at least once a week. I went out to Little Creek once last week and I like the Chickahominy Lake as well. I'd like to check out Waller Mill sometime soon as well. I also fish out a yak and love it. I got a Ride 135 last year and it's great. I'm still learning my way around yak fishing but if you wanted to catch up sometime that'd be great! I live in Lanexa (New Kent County). Let me know! Really looking for some kayak fishing peeps!! Let me know!! First, welcome aboard, Rod! Second - I fish NNPK (Lee Hall Reservoir) mostly, and it is a good fishery. Fish the side off rte 64 (get your launch pass). There are a number of great laydowns, and stump fields there that have some big bass. As well, there's water past the big pipe that runs across it. I know folks who've pulled in 8lbers in the shallow waters there. Harwood's Mill also has some beasts, but with the construction on rte 17, they've kept the water level low, and I've not has as much success there as in the past (PB caught there on the small side). Waller Mill has some big bass in it, but the price of fishing there has gone up over the years. Haven't fished it in about one year. Quote
Matt R. Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Hello all, I live in the Hampton area and have been kayak fishing in the area for almost a year now. Harwood has been really good to me, but like what Darren said the construction has made fishing difficult. Recently I've been going to Suffolk and trying lone star lakes with some success. Haven't been up past lee hall but wouldn't mind an adventure. Always looking for some one to cover water with. I'm probably heading out to lone star lakes tomorrow morning if anyone would like to join. Quote
