I love basketball and like to shoot some hoops whenever I get a chance and was wondering if there's anyone else on here that likes Basketball?

I enjoy shooting around a little, not to say I'm any good at it though.

Yup, I grew up playing street ball in a ghetto neighborhood. Best way to learn to play ;). I played 2 on 2 last night with some friends. For teams, I like the Bulls and Golden State, and Tar Heels for basketball.

Basketball player/fan/coach here. I've been playing team ball since I was in 5th grade and I managed to get good enough to play college ball. For the most part, my high school and college years were non-stop basketball with me playing all year long. I'm down to playing at open gyms, in a men's league, and coaching now. It's what gets me through the hard water times up here. I don't follow it as much as I used to. I tend to keep track of it more at a high school level now instead of pro or college games. I do watch the NBA Playoffs and NCAA tournament as well as some Badger games as well. If the season wasn't so hectic, I'd probably watch more than I do.

I always liked to play basketball and still do, but my creaking joints prevent me from too much action.  I play just hard enough to beat my kids (which is getting tougher everyday).  I follow only college ball.  Mainly Carolina and other ACC schools.  It is going to be interesting to see what the NCAA does with Carolina's academic issues.

I used to play in Indiana all the time. When I moved to Ga. I couldn't believe the difference in skill and style of play. Needless to say, Indiana is a pass the ball 10 times then take an open three, Ga. is get the ball drive to the hoop (no passing needed). ;)

Still a die hard IU fan, always will be.

they only know how to play football and baseball in GA....  I've never been to Indiana, but basketball is life in North Carolina!  They don't call it the best rivalry in college basketball for nothing!

It's the same way in Indiana, we used to shovel snow off the court to play during the winter.

I am a big fan of pro ball and playing.  I played all through high school and one year of college till I hurt my back.  As soon i was old enough to go to the courts myself, me and buddy would play pick up every night.  It was great when one of us got our license because we could expand our range of courts to play on and go after better competition.  Luckily, growing up right outside of Philly, good games were not hard to find and it was pretty common to be paying against Division I talent.  Philly is a huge basketball city.

Unfortunately I can't play anymore really because of that same back injury but i am actually trying to get back into a little bit.
