Fat-G Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I was looking to get into melting down the torn up worms and Senkos and pouring them into a mold to use again. I was snoopin' around on LureCraft.com, and they have a ton of molds. My question is, are they reusable? Could I keep using them over and over to pour plastics? Quote
jeffcpr Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I have not yet started pouring baits but want to try it out soon, from what I have read yes you can re-use, but you said that you are melting down old torn up worms. Have you done this and have you had sucess melting them down. I ma going to make my own molds and customize my own lures and wanted to start with the palstics I had on hand old stuff I had. Quote
wickyman Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Yes, the lurecraft molds are reusable. They are made from RTV silicone. It's a high temp silicone, and works great, many uses. They are what my brother in law uses. He has poured thousands of baits, and can get thousands upon thousands, more! Quote

Fat-G Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 So would it be worth it to invest in a melting pot and everything and start re-pouring the plastics? Quote

wickyman Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 It's worth getting all the proper equipment. But lurecraft has all the stuff you need. Call them up, they have a pretty good customer rep. They are so nice, and help out newbies. I also posted a list on here somewhere... I don't remember where, but it was in the last week, with a list of things you need. Do a search for my name, and it will come up, I am sure. Quote
