badhatharry Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 How many of you guys take advantage of this? "Recreational boaters who purchase taxed fuel for use in their boats may be able to get a refund of all or part of that 'highway use tax' depending on the state in which the fuel was purchased." I haven't before but I'm going to start this year. The highway gas tax is just getting ridiculous around here. Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted August 17, 2015 Super User Posted August 17, 2015 Never heard of this before. I just looked into it though and in WI "recreational motor boats" can't file for exemptions. Quote
Al Wolbach Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Looked into it a few years ago. No relief in Tennessee either... Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted August 17, 2015 Super User Posted August 17, 2015 The only ones that qualify in Massachusetts are, or maybe were farmers and commercial fishermen. It's possible the regs have changed. The last time I filed for the tax rebate for commercial fishermen was in 1984. Since then, ????? Quote
