What I caught these fish on. Added music on this one so if you don't like Shinedown hit the mute button before playing. Watch in HD. I have a jig video coming up that has even bigger fish in it.

i haven't watched the vid yet so my guess is that you were dead sticking a spinnerbait?  :eyebrows:  good work again my friend!!  p.s stop crashing into trees, its an obvious sign that your bass drunk & may be in need of some counselling...

Haha I think we all need some counselling in that department.  Not one of my most graceful moments but makes for a good laugh. You know dead sticking spinnerbaits is all the rage right now, preferable pink with purple blades  :laugh5:

Sweet video!

It has been a terrible year for the big baits for me unfortunately. You probably caught more fish in that video than I've caught on swimmers all year  :cry4:

Keep at it Blue. I got on a good swimbait bite for a solid 2 month but I'm on a slump right now and have zeroed the past few trips. You know the game.

I got a few smallies on a 5" Bull Shad the past two weeks, but something about that small Bull Shad just doesn't even hardly feel like a swimbait anymore. About had a fish rip the rod out of my hands fishing a Gantarel along a bluff wall Friday morning but there was nothing there on the hookset  :dazed-7:  It was a brand new bait but now it has scrapes on the face of the bait, thinking it must have just had it head first and the hooks missed completely.

I have watched bass come and eat my swimbait head first and not get the hooks. That would make sense why the bite was so hard. I finally stuck a few on the 6" tripe trout tonight to break my slump. Got on a good squarebill bite and switched it up and landed a few nice fish on the swimbait. How you liking the Gantarel? I just ordered one and have high hopes for it next spring.

I actually just picked it up in a trade with another member and I really like the action of it so far. It's bigger than I thought it was but not so big that it eliminates all but the biggest fish in the lake. It'll 180 nicely and turns easily if you just twitch it on the surface.
