I have some questions about getting in to tackle making.

I was hoping it might be a nice hobby to get through the winter doldrums.

I do not have a lathe but have seen a couple contraptions that can turn the wood with an ordinary high speed drill? Do these work?

Can someone point me in a good starting direction for trying crank baits. Instructional video? Supplies? paint etc? and any other important stuff I'm leaving out.

how do you insert the bill?

does someone sell them in all diffrent depths?

Welcome to the addiction!

There are several articles on lure building in the articles section of this website. Try these for starters

C.Boyd Pfeiffer's "Complete book of Tacklemaking" covers the basics of lure building (and any other kind of fishing tackle you can think of). Also, try tackleunderground.com. There's a load of info over there.

Hope this helps.
