Dennis1972 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 i have been to a LOT of concerts but id say my favorite one was in 1991, "the clash of the titans" it was megadeth ,slayer, and anthrax. i was young and the only thing i cared about was having a good time...and man did i ever! Quote
Dyerbassman Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Faith No More, Jeff Buckley, Skinny Puppy, Nirvana were amazing 1 Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted August 13, 2015 Super User Posted August 13, 2015 AC/DC..............for old farts, they still kill it live. I have seen them 3 times (all during the Brian Johnson era, I was 5 when Bon Scott died). The first time was inthe mid 90's on the Ballbreaker tour in Florida, and the last time was during the Black Ice world tour in Buffalo, WNYbassman and I had semi-nosebleed seats, but it was still a good show. I also saw them at the S.A.R.S. concert in Toronto in 2003, and even though they "opened" up for the Rolling Stones, they blew them off the stage.......I was so unimpressed with the Stones that we left early to beat the traffic. The only other bands I have seen live multiple times was the hair band Poison, and depending on how much "medicine and cough syrup" they imbibed in pre-show, either they killed it or stunk. And the other, while not a fan of country music, was Montgomery Gentry, and I enjoyed both shows. ACDC does put on a great show, I've seen them 3 times myself, once with Bon 2 times with Brian.. All shows were awesome, with great sound. I was saddened to hear about Malcolm having to stop playing, apparently he suffers from dementia & literally would forget the songs on stage.. Sad.. Quote
FSUMF333 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Seen SLAYER! about 30 times in the last 20 years & they never dissapoint always full on thrash & energy. R.I.P. Jeff Hanneman 1 Quote
Swamp Gas Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Just got home from Tim McGraw. I thought it was subpar at best. I went to one of his shows years ago, and I agree, it was terrible. It was the only concert I ever actually got up and left early. Gretchen Wilson opened for him and her show was great, so it wasn't a total bust. Quote
lo n slo Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Neil Young and Crazy Horse 1978 right before I went to boot camp in Parris Island 1 Quote
lecisnith Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Saw Metallica and Chili Peppers at Orion fest a couple years ago. Saw Tool in '06, and saw Black Sabbath in '05. Its pretty much a toss-up amongst them. Quote

Super User scaleface Posted September 10, 2015 Super User Posted September 10, 2015 Heart. The show I saw they teamed up with Jason Bohnam and did several Zepplen songs . Stairway to Heaven had a chorus accompaniment . Quote
Last_Cast Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I am probably on the older side for this forum. That being said, the best " Show on stage ". For me that's easy. ZZ top and Pink Floyd. 2 great performances. I wish, I love Floyd Quote
The Patriot Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Single best concert I've seen thus far: 2009 I think. Volbeat (when they were just getting their name out), opened for Lamb of God, who opened for Metallica. This was at Madison Square Garden in NYC. Metallica is my absolute favorite band so there was a bias there. But it was a concert that would have given anyone chills. Next would be All That Remains when they played the Hometown Throwdown in Northampton MA. I'm seeing them again in November with Emmure and We Came as Romans. Im expecting the Parkway Drive concert in November to be on this list as well. Quote

The Patriot Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Just started listening to Parkway Drive.. Solid band... I am hoping Iron Maiden tours and comes to Buffalo. . Would be amazing. . They've got a new album coming out on the 25th. There's two songs released already. Kinda seems like theyre taking on a more "radio friendly" mainstream sound. Still good, just not the Parkway I've come to know and love. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted September 17, 2015 Super User Posted September 17, 2015 Tony Bennett was amazing. Recently saw Willie Nelson with Allison Krauss opening. That was an unbelievable show. Quote
