Glenn... watched your Senko fishing video and take exception to one statement.  My understanding of fluorocarbon line is that it doesn't absorb water.  This attribute of fluorocarbon lines contributes to greater strength vs. nylon line.

Correct, it does not absorb water.  I misspoke.  Easy to do when there's a camera lens pointing in your face and you're trying to remember all the points you need to make.

That said, everything else I said in the video still holds true. Fluoro does indeed sink faster than mono, yet it is more sensitive.  I also failed to mention fluoro has greater stretch than mono, and is stiffer and has more memory than mono and superlines, making it the least manageable fishing line.

Hindsight is 20/20. It's hard to remember everything and get it all right in one take.  After doing these, I really admire the pros on TV who can nail it everytime.

Don't worry Glenn, look up some fishing bloopers on youtube. All these guys jack up! lol

Great video.  I basically fish the same way but I do fish like a jerk bait from time to time, going really slow though.  My main set up is a x-fast 6'8'' MH rod with 12lb FC.  To me, more than anything else when it comes to fishing a senko, is using FC.  It just complements the bait and allows it do what the bait was meant to do.

Hmmm...interesting points laid out nicely.

I've never fished floro for anything but trout. I bank fish, so a rod locker is not in my vocab.

But watching this video...there are days when I'll go hit a small lake and only take 2-3 bags of Senkos and some hooks...that's how confident I am in the bait. I may have to spool up some floro and give it a whirl.

Which make/model seems to be the best for abrasion, strength, and line management?

I use Seaguar Tatsu.  It doesn't get that memory like other fluoros, which makes a difference when fishing Senkos.
