Fun4Me Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Fishing makes me hungry, especially if I'm going to be out for a few hours. What do you guys take with you? Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted August 4, 2015 Super User Posted August 4, 2015 Jerky, trail mix, water, beer, and non-filter cigarettes. Quote
Joe H. Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I usually don't eat while I fish... Probably why I'm so skinny haha sometimes I'll get a breakfast biscuit on the way but that's it... X2. I'm not skinny but I usually don't eat while I'm fishing. Grab something on the way sometimes though. If I get really hungry I'll go to the marina at the lake in fishing and get a snickers and beef jerky. Quote

Fun4Me Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 woops, sorry about that. I tried the search button and didn't come up with anything. Disregard. Quote
NathanW Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I usually forget to feed myself which is why I have found that an Ensure drink or something similar can be a godsend when its like 1:30pm and you realize you feel awful because you have not fed yourself since 4:30am breakfast. Other snacks that have the same effect but maybe not quite as easy are mixed nuts, beef jerky or Granola bar. The drinks just go down so easy which is I they are my go-to and they really make you feel great. 1 Quote

I always have three or four granola bars in my tackle bag. I also keep licorice bits I buy at BPS and lots of water (especially in the summer). Quote

AdamsEye Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I don't eat while fishing, even during long days. I have to remind myself to drink too. If I go offshore I normally grab a sub/hoagie and munch that mid day. Fresh water, even when paddling, I just want to fish and have no desire to drink or eat. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted August 6, 2015 Super User Posted August 6, 2015 Depends on the heat. While it is so hot I usually drink more water. Quote
