if everybody likes Gloomis , why doesn't people buy NFC blanks and get the their dream rod made exactly how they want it ??? are the NFC blanks just as good as the Shimloomis NRX's ???

G. Loomis and NFC are not affiliated. If we could build NRX blanks, we would.

i know they are not, just think there are blanks just as good if not better than the blanks that Shimloomis NRX rods are built on ...

While y'all were funning around, I got off the internet and caught some delicious bass to go with my carrots.

Markings on my NRX are in front of the reel seat though. Wonder if it's a fake!

First generation NRX as you can see from the single tone foregrip. Still no problems after hundreds of bass and some other species.

Mr. Bass says:

Use ShimLoomis

And fear no fish!

Just to be sure - did you check the exposed blank behind the reel seat/grip and in front of the butt?  This is where the rod specs are on all of my NRXs. In front of the foregrip, all you have are the Loomis logo and NRX as you mentioned.

This file photo shows the markings...

Nevermind. Figured out the position of the blank info and the logo from the tackletour reviews.

The blue rods have all the specs plus the logo in front of the reel seat, like my post shows.

The green rods have the specs behind the reel seat, but the logo in front, like Goose's post shows.

If you're paying $600-$800 for a rod it better say Megabass on it.

if i wanted a rod like that 873 , i would have it built on a St.croix 5C71MHXF-B , would Citra-strip the blank down to the raw blank , would wrap with micro guides , fuji skt split reel seet and have split EVA grips .

would be a lot lighter and stronger and ridicously sensitive, a killer 3/8-1/2 oz. jig rod ....

500$ for a rod i aaint rich but i can afford that but aint no way...just like someone said before on BR they can afford a Ferrari but they choose a mustang to drive.it aint all about bling IMO 200$ and less rods can do it all and still not break

I was saying the same thing 5 short years ago.  I saw a $100 Carrot Stik in a tackle shop and said "There's no way I would pay $100 for a fishing rod!".  Now I own an NRX and have discovered what a pleasure it is to fish with a rod of this high quality.  I may not catch more fish, but I enjoy the act of fishing more with this rod.

I own a Dodge Charger and love it.  But I bet a Ferrari would be even more fun to drive.

A Dodge Charger sounds good to me. I drive a itty bitty Hyundai Accent.

Myself? I'm more likely to have a custom made.. But, I wouldn't condemn anyone for spending their own money..( Nrx ) I hear they are amazing.

no one condemned them , just wondering why with all the problems and shoddy work on the rods that people would continue to fork out over $500 plus on these .....

The silk screening is different for the blue and green rods.  My guess is somebody at Loomis is color blind.   It still should not have been missed, especially during the build process when the rod gets sorted to go out to get guides put on and possibly the wrap done.  It then comes back with the guides done, gets sorted again, and goes to get the guides lined up.  The logo matches the paper work that travels with the rod when it goes out.  The wraps get rechecked. It then gets coated by hand (again should have been seen here).  Then gets inspected and bagged (again should have been seen).  Then finally stored in inventory by the logo, label and paper work.

Every station uses the logo to pass in on to the next during the production process.

If it is real, i am at a loss to how it happened.

Like pgersumky says ..if your paying 500$ for a rod that has a history of poor craftsmanship. IMO id rather use a rod that just gets the job done.its like saying hey i have a Lamborghini in my driveway buts its blown up.

It no doubt got spotted. Probably by more than one person. These days, so many people have that, "it's not my job" attitude.

So Chicken Little says the sky is falling (I don't think my NRX has the specification data on the blank).

Then we get about 60 posts of Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, Goosey Loosey, and Turkey Lurkey jumping on board and saying YES, the sky is falling.

Meanwhile, the OP has disappeared and we still don't know for sure if his rod REALLY is missing the data.

Geez, you usually only see this type of thread in winter.  Everyone should go fishing or something...
