Super User Senko lover Posted August 3, 2015 Super User Posted August 3, 2015 Mark seems like the nicest guy on earth, but this situation was enough to make a saint get mad. The life of a bass fisherman . http://www.bassmaster.com/news/incident-lakeside-landowner-leaves-menendez-fuming Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 3, 2015 Global Moderator Posted August 3, 2015 Mark has a reputation of being the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet.Glad his marshal got video of the incident and I hope they throw the book at him. The judges and lawmakers should be very well aware of how much money these tournaments bring into an area, hopefully they'll make an example of this guy to discourage it in the future. Quote
Catch 22 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Long ago up there [1980 ish ] A kid was throwing rocks ahead of my boat where we were fishing. He kept hitting closer to the boat,so I explained the possible consequence to him, then we decided to leave the area. It wasn`t worth the trouble it could cause. Hudson River ==coupla joggers went out of their way to come close to the water and spit at us and flip us off.We spoke about it and then laughed aloud and pointed at them.No further action required. I hope Mark gets some satisfaction. Keep in mind that some people don`t want the attention to their area ,nor do they care about the revenues created. I`m guilty of that to a certain extent. Super User Jrob78 Posted August 3, 2015 Super User Posted August 3, 2015 Something similar happened to Anthony Gagliardi recently too. I don't remember where they were, might have even been the FWC. Some guy came out in a boat and drove circles around him while he tried to fish. It happened in a certain area of the lake and went on anytime Gagliardi got too close. 1 Quote

Seemed like the guy felt like it was his secret spot and it was going to get fished out because he was fishing it on TV and brought his flotilla with him. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted August 3, 2015 Super User Posted August 3, 2015 lol at landowner. Maybe he should have warned the fish instead of the fisherman. Sounds like a PETA type. Quote

Nice_Bass Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Meanwhile the rest of us deal with rude fisherman/boaters/landowners on the water every time we go out. 1) Guy #1 asks you not to fish his dock because of his kids 2) Guy #2 fishes dock because he is more "important". 3) Guy #1 one gets ticked (and happens to be a moron, to boot) 4) guy #3 (ME) is not surprised at the childish outcome by both sides. 2 Quote

Nailed It! I'm not sure why Mr. Menendez deserves recognition over the hoards of others that are harassed on the water. As far as ethnic heritage? I can't count how many members here have linked the issue to bucket fishing! 1 Quote
