Everybody knows soda is terrible for you, but all the same I thought this article was interesting: http://www.apextribune.com/infographic-coca-cola-effects-on-our-body/27559/

Especially the part that says it has some of the same effects as heroin. Scary stuff lol

I try not to drink it all that often anymore, but I have no problem sucking one or two down when I feel like it. If one breaks it down, virtually everything on this planet is bad for us in one capacity or another. I try not to sweat it, but I do think moderation is the key.

I like Pepsi myself, but in a pinch coke or dr. pepper works all right too.

Interesting read.I had an Aunt that was severly   affected by polio. Here drink of choice was Pepsi and it was easy to see that she was addicted  to it. She would flip out with out it.

Beer  for me. Trouble is after about 12 cans they loose their taste. I can`t  fathom drinking 12 cans  of soda even during a whole year.

Seems like a lot of folks in Chicago are drinking the Kool-Aid, and are on the cool aid.

Is it really that bad? You are always hearing horror stories about it, but only anecdotal evidence. Or you'll hear that studies suggest problems but not that they prove anything.

That said, I quit drinking them entirely about a month ago. I don't feel any better or worse. I continue to drink coffee in the morning and replaced one pack of splenda with one tsp of sugar. I'm already on something for mild hypertension and cholesterol. I figured it couldn't hurt to drop a habit. The only thing I really have noticed is fewer twitching nerves and maybe whiter teeth. I always drank Diet Coke.

No soda is. It's all liquid garbage. Drink an ice water or a flavored seltzer if you like sharp carbonation.

which one do you prefer?

I´ve never tried heroin ( besides why would I want to try that garbage when I can legally obtain much better and more powerful stuff thanks to my license ?  ) but Coke is the elixir of the Gods.

There are many drinks and food items that are not worth the caloric cost. Coke is but one of them. The amount of sugar in things is crazy. I grabbed a 20 ounce regular Gatorade earlier today after a long workout. I usually drink the lower calorie stuff. 28 grams of sugar! That is 7 teaspoons and is as much as a Snickers bar! There are not enough electrolytes in the sugary sports drink to justify the calories unless you are doing distance training of some sort and really need those calories, in spite of what the commercials say. OK feel better now!

The thing people need to realize is the talk is all about sugar..sugar..there is no sugar in coke. Its worse, hfc made from gmo corn..I'll pass.

I think everybody in America should drink at least 4 cups of hot black coffee everyday, no cream no sugar (that's for women and children).  There would be less crime, the economy would steady itself, and everyone would generally feel better.  Coke is for cleaning the decks on Naval ships.  But, that's just my opinion.

Not in merry ole Mexico, Coke here is sweetened with trusty and faithful pure sugar from sugar cane ( in Mexico corn is not used to produce HFC, it's used to manufacture corn flour for tortillas, besides, sugar is much less expensive than HFC ) actually, mexican Coke tastes 100 times better than US Coke. One of the things I missed dearly the times I lived in the US was the taste of Mexican Coke, to the point that I didn't drink Coke.

Yup, high fructose corn syrup.. It's evil stuff and in a whole lot of items, but hey.. Sugar cane is in our gas.. Oh by the way, I prefer neither coke or heroin.. I'm a Evans Willams sorta guy..( I like Old Forester too. )
