bassfreek152 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Hey guys, I'm looking for a new reel to add to my arsenal in that mid range 6.1:1-6.5:1 area in the $125 to $175 price range. Keeping in mind that I get a 20% employee discount at Gander Mountain. Which reel out of the three listed in the topic would you pick, and if you have any other suggestions please list them too! Thanks for all the help in advance! Quote
ABW Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I would get a Curado I from e bay around $140 I believe. Quote
War Eagle 44 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I too would pick up a Curado I. The Citica would definitely be second on the list. After that I'd go with the Daiwa. Quote
bassfreek152 Posted August 1, 2015 Author Posted August 1, 2015 Why exactly would you guys pick the Curado over the Citica? What is the difference? I mean obviously the Curado is at a higher price point so there's gotta be something that sets it ahead, but what exactly is it? Quote

There aren't too many differences between them, besides ther look. If you can get the Citica at a lower price than the Curado, and you are comfortable with it, by all means go for it! I have never used the new Citica so that's why I recommended the Curado. 1 Quote
ThatZX14Fella Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I love my Tatula so far. It has my vote. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Quality wise they're all on par with one another. It comes down to features and preference. If your a diy maintenance person the tatula is the least convenient and the citica is probably the easiest. Quote
Theangler1 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Can't go wrong with Lews or shimano. But for me, the tatula is rather heavy. But I fish with Lews reels myself Quote
Super User FishTank Posted August 4, 2015 Super User Posted August 4, 2015 If you work at Gander Mountain, I would pick up the Curado I. Quote
Weld's Largemouth Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 BB1 X2 Lews is the way to go. Quality products, great customer service Quote
