Charlie is grandfather, the 16 year old nephew is my son, Al. Lynn is actually my mom, making her Al's grandmother, not his mom. Big Pappa still cooks the best burgers around.

Real hometown article. Lots of history and sounds like a great place to eat.

Very nice, but I have to ask.  What happened to the "t" at the end of your name?  Your mom is Franchot in the article.

I was gonna ask the same question...Another one of J''s "you're pulling my leg" posts! LOL

Actually, I do remember a post he made a post that mentioned he dropped the "T" because it was silent...just made the forum name easier for folks to pronounce, if I remember correctly.

Anyway, what a great article to read. Kind of an article for "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" to read and record a show! Actually, I think Guy Fieri is a percussionist aficionado.

"jfrancho" was my old NT login for work, back on the 90s when you could only have 8 letters. Work used your first initial, and then what was left from your last name. That name stuck, but the old software here didn't like it, so it's what it is now. It's Franchot, pronounced FRAN-chawt. It's americanized Polish, but most think it's French, and say Fran-SHOW. Many others just say Frank-O, so much so I respond to it.

One of the best parts of fishing with John is going to eat at Charlie's after we get off the water.

Trust me. He's a joke everywhere. If the food he was showing wasn't universally appealing he would be pushing a shopping cart full of hair bleach and douchey flame shirts under a bridge somewhere haha

I want one of those pork hots... Or five! I'm guessing natural casing- the way it's supposed to be.

Yes, it does. Got to have them with "hot sauce."
