Super User buzzed bait Posted July 30, 2015 Super User Posted July 30, 2015 went out to the pond for a couple hours and ZERO fish so no, not so much for me. was throwing the buzzbait, swim jig, t rig worm, frog and the chatterbait. NOTHING. Quote
d-camarena Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I went to a creek, caught a 5 pounder on a popper. It was a great fight Quote
ID4Bass Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 The weather finally cooperated and found a school of 2 to 3 pounders. Running a deep crankbait off a ledge. Partner and I caught 15 in 90 minutes. The rain in our area has made it tough to find a pattern for the bass, this past week we finally dried out some and turned on the heat/sunshine. Located in mid-west Illinois. Quote
Super User gardnerjigman Posted July 30, 2015 Super User Posted July 30, 2015 Buddy went last night and caught a 5.9 on a spinnerbait. Quote
wenz41378 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Caught 4 dinks in an hour of fishing with my 3 year old daughter last night. Just enough to keep her entertained. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted July 30, 2015 Super User Posted July 30, 2015 I went from 5:30 pm to 3 AM. I counted 38 fish caught , most in the slot 12 to 15 inches , none over it. I lost one big fish that broke me off in a brush pile. I was trying to hold pressure on it and get the boat closer to land it , I guess I held to much pressure. Was hoping for a top water bite but a black spinnerbait was the dominant lure . Quote
Dennis1972 Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 a few pics from last night, hopefully tonight will be good again. 1 Quote
Dye99 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I did nothing but throw bait for two hours, then the last 20 min before complete darkness I killed it. Two nice 2lber's on a weightless wacky senco pitched under a dock. A 3lb on spinnerbait. Then on the way out a really nice one that Im thinking was around 4 lbs on a Zman chatter bait as I was headed back to my truck.. Quote
Dennis1972 Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 so tonight i went out again, same conditions, same lures (also threw everything at'em), same time and no bass....lol. strange creatures they are. right at dark i started throwing a little panfish jig and got 1 crappie and 1 rock bass...just cuz i didnt want to get skunked. Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 1, 2015 Global Moderator Posted August 1, 2015 Buddy went last night and caught a 5.9 on a spinnerbait. Boom! Actually the fishing sucked really bad, 6 bass all night, but I wasn't out there to catch numbers either. Black and blue War Eagle at 2:30 in the morning. 3 Quote

No, they're a native fish species that deserves to be there just as much as the bass do. 1 Quote
