Bad Batch?

I had a spool of 8lb Yo Zuri Hybrid, and no matter what, it kept snapping at the knot. Every time I tied on a crankbait or a hook, (used palomar knot and san diego jam) it would snap at the knot when I tightened it. I wet the knot and I tie very dependable knots with every other line, so do you guys think it was just a bad batch? Hesitant to try it again despite how much most of you guys love it...

I guarantee it's a bad batch.  I use 8lb on my TW/Jerkbait rods and only ever break off (knock on wood) due to Pike.  I use a Trilene knot, but don't see how that could be of any significance.

Probably a bad batch or old stock. 8lb hybrid is my go to line, i always use a clinch knot. Hasnt failed me yet...

i would agree sounds like a bad one.  i've had great luck with yozuri in 6, 8 and 12lb.

I also have a 12lb yo suri hybrid that breaks everytime. I quit using that line but maybe i also had a bad batch. Im not taking risks

Bad batch. Considering how many use it with zero problems. I have 600 yard spools of 6-12 that I use for leaders at the moment.

I have some 15lb that is doing the same the thing.  I have tried different knots but after a few casts the knot will snap.

No doubt a bad batch it's usually good stuff.

I know I'm in the minority but I tried it and hated it. Tried to use 8lb on my shakyhead rod for 30 minutes before I took it off. One of the stiffest, thickest lines I've ever used. Reminded me of the first run of Iron Silk. No idea if it was strong or not, I couldn't feel anything to set the hook on.
