After a lot of gas line construction last year, maybe things have started to return to a more normal state. I've seen three bucks in the last two days. This morning I asked permission to bow hunt property that has been sealed off with posters for thirty years. The owner is considering my request. I surely hope this pans out for me.

I had my first experience with a commercial climbing treestand this afternoon. Naturally, I did it when my wife was away on vacation. SSSSHHHH....... :eyebrows: .........don't let her or my doctors know...........I was at my daughter's home. She'll probably squeal on me..............Dwight, I have a doe permit coming as well. They just look like walking rings of bologna to me.

It's not looking quite as good for getting that permission letter. I spoke with the owners this afternoon.............a decision has yet to be made. Just by judging their body language, I don't have very high hopes.  It's a shame too; the best buck we've seen is using that area for bedding. On the plus side, we have documented at least three legal bucks in our zone.

Good hunting areas are hard to find. I been hunting in vt since '73.

Lost the place to stay at in '84. Purchased 7 1/4 acres that borders on two sides by the national forest in '86 for $10k. It's up in the mountains. I gave up buying a new truck and bought land instead.

Best thing I ever did. Bear and deer and moose hunting besides trout fishing in the white river.

My main hunting property was planted with corn this year after being beans the last several years, it really has my hopes up! I was going to put a camera out but I know where they walk so no reason to disturb it until that first morning I'm sitting out there
