Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted July 25, 2015 Super User Posted July 25, 2015 IMO, the takeaway message is that there aren't enough swimbaits being thrown. Suits me fine. oh they are thrown !!! my personal best came on a 6'' straight tail Robo worm fx summer shad on a drop shot rig , 10# braid/10# toray super hard super strong flourocarbon leader .. the fish in my avatar , 10.6 # Quote
MFBAB Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 The parity is pretty amazing here. If the Plastic worm category was divided into 3 categories - like: Finesse under 4" / Worms over 4" / Senko And then Topwater divided into Buzzbait / Frog / Hardbait, or something like that, there really wouldn't be any dominant category. I say that because Jigs & Cranks are divided already, and if you totalled those up into one number they would be right there with Worms and Topwater as a lump sum. Cgrinder Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Mine was a lipless in mid April. Girlfriend's was a Recon worm on Memorial Day weekend last year. Looking for a couple new ones this Fall. 1 Quote
Nice_Bass Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 10'' powerbait ribbon tail. My PB has been tied a couple of times all on the same bait. More of a game of percentages for me- go figure I catch my biggest bass on something I throw over 50% of the time, year round. Swimbaits for me have shown me giant fish (bigger than my pb) in the last 5 years and caught a lot of big fish. But have not caught a giant for me yet. 1 Quote

Super User lmbfisherman Posted July 29, 2015 Super User Posted July 29, 2015 Crap I just screwed up, I put down the bait that caught me the biggest smallie. it actually should be for Largemouth is a stick bait (senko). That would be classified as a worm? or other. Quote
