We left the Crack head hotel we were staying in up here this morning. We have now rented a "cabin" at one of the campsites up here. It has two primary fishing lakes and a massive swimming/fishing/boating lake on the property. All three lakes are located within a couple hundred yards of the cabin. Dang I love Michigan. Plus the weather is not scorching hot.

What's wrong with Muskegon Heights?

Just because there's so many sirens that you'd think the taxis used them, its a peaceful little burg that proves that everyone needs to carry!

I figured he would be right in the midst of it with us.

I guess redline is our bail money then.

Good choice. The odds of us getting him to come hang out are slim. Very good choice.

Show up like this to his house. If that don't work. Tell him you have booze and naked woman waiting in WI. That should get him up here. If not just kidnap him.

I think we scare him a bit. Although he did say he would like to go to Vegas with us once.

I've seen women from Wisconsin fully clothed. Not sure I would like to see them naked

I'm disappointed you left the crack head hotel. It might provide more entertainment than the cabin.

Oh no trust me. This campground is a 1000 times more entertaining. The people across from us, accidentally put their chihuahua in the washing machine last night. The week before that he wound up thumping around in the dryer. Some of these folks make alabama red necks seem normal.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your travels through this diverse & picturesque state.

But you must remember that a good majority of the humans you meet on this trip, especially at camp grounds in JULY, may not actually be from Michigan.  They are doing the same thing you are - traveling.

If you Really want to meet The people of Michigan and experience the Real Deal - come up for a camping trip in JANUARY -

btw - bring a hat.

Can't believe that you and your missus aren't dragging Raider and his soon to be better half to the Coast Guard festival this weekend!  What could be better than a guided tour?

The Mrs. is on day two in the hospital recovering from surgery, otherwise we'd probably be in Coast Guard city.

Also my only style of guiding always includes a canoe.

DNR Warning People About BearsPosted: Jul 24, 2015 8:37 AM EDTUpdated: Jul 24, 2015 11:47 AM EDT

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is warning people about bears.

The DNR has responded to dozens of nuisance bear complaints so far this year.

They say adult bears move during mating season and younger bears are looking to find their own territory.

A DNR wildlife specialist says bears are traveling a lot and people should call the DNR if they need assistance.

Sorry to hear that.  Pass on good thoughts to her for a speedy recovery.

And I still bet you could show Raider how to get to the Foretop.

Are you inferring a bear may attempt to mate with Raider?

Even a bear has standards.

Pretty sure it's for the other campers who find raider a "nuisance".
