Since I was asked about it, and had forgot about it until yesterday. I feel like reviving it. So here again is, Dear Raider.

For the simple fact that other advise columns suck, and aren't entertaining at all. Who better to give advise then Bass Resource's own Raider Nation Fisher the Great!

Jeff

How bout a, Dear Raider, when posting. :D

Dear Jeff,

After all the rods I have owned and fished. I prefer an Abu Veritas rod. They have never let me down and have worked swimmingly for stripe as well as green fish.

Reels, I prefer a round bait caster. When you have massive gorilla hands it makes it much easier to palm the reel. Personally I am in love with Shimano Calcuttas. I find the round reels tend to be a bit more powerful then their low profile counter parts. As well as available in a wider range of sizes. The Abu round reels have definitely gotten my attention. However, I just prefer a Calcutta. Preferably a TE or TE DC.

Mono. I don't fish mono. I absolutely can not stand mono. I do just fine with flouro and braided lines. My counterpart uses it though.

Dear Slonezp,

I have not posted Blondie Sparky's picture yet because I have not had any inquiries about one being posted. I will get to work on that after dinner. Only since you asked so nice though.

Dear Raider.

What came first, the chicken or the egg?

Dear Redline,

The answer is the fish came first. Then the egg and finally after many years of evolution. The chicken came.

Dear Raider.

What I recall from science class. Microorganisms were the first living things on this planet. With them being the first living things. They would have evolved in to egg laying creatures at some point. If they were not all ready laying eggs. Going by that theory. The chicken came before the egg.

Dear Raider.

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Dear Raider,

Please tell Blondie Sparky to fish the INSIDE of the break wall.  Soft plastic crawdads attract a lot of smallmouth bass when casted close to the rocks.

Dear Tipptruck,

That is true micro organisms came first. Evolved from the bits and pieces left over from the big bang/creation. The micro organisms came from within the primordial soup if you will. Their lives were spent in the water if I recall correctly. Thusly, evolving into primitive organisms and finally to "fish". Before crawling out and becoming land dwelling critters.

Answer 2.

Last time I spoke with a wood chuck. It told me it could chuck around 9000 board feet a day. Dependent upon the weather and other variables. Which is a lot of wood for a wood chuck to chuck.

Dear Raider,

There are five houses in a row in different colours. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The five owners drink a different drink, smoke a different brand of cigar and keep a different pet, one of which is a fish.

Hints:

1. The Brit lives in the red house.

2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets.

3. The Dane drinks tea.

4. The green house is on the left of the white house.

5. The green house owner drinks coffee.

6. The person who smokes Pall Malls keeps birds.

7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhills.

8. The man living in the house right in the center drinks milk.

9. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.

10. The Norwegian lives in the first house.

11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the one who smokes Dunhills.

12. The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer.

13. The German smokes Princes.

14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.

15. The man who smokes Blends has a neighbour who drinks water.

Dear .ghoti.,

Why the hell would you send that to me while I'm at work? Now I'm gonna be thinking about it all dang day, until I have time to sit down and go over it after work today.

I will get you an answer on it this evening after I get home and get done fishing tonight.

Regarding answer #2: If a 2 x 6 x 12" = 1 board foot, how many linear feet of 2x4 would a wood chuck chuck in a day?

It's a trick question. The correct answer is " A woodchuck would chuck as much as he could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood"

Do rats drink tea and become super rats?

Reason I ask is I arrived at the parking garage at 4:45 this morning but my pass won't work until 5. So I parked outside a tea and snack shop., Now, I normally see rats running up and down the sidewalks. I can only assume they are eating the homeless peoples leftovers. These particular rats from this morning were running back and forth from their hideaway to the tea shop. They were much larger than the rats I normally encounter. Could I be onto something? Sould I be scared?
