Wisconsin Bass Man Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Hello everyone! So I recently got interested in painting lures, where I have in the past painted cars and aircrafts...this is something different! In Wisconsin we have little to do but go fishing, so it only made sense to start painting my own.Now unfortunately at the time these images were taken (this weekend) I was still waiting on black paint along with other stuff. so i couldn't really get too crazy. But I wanted to showcase them here for some feedback. I am not looking to sell anything or ever make money on them. it's just for fun! http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/gallery/sizes/14704-first-lure/large/ http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/gallery/sizes/14703-first-crankbait/large/ Quote
Big C Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 They look awesome. Very nice first batch. Just be warned painting/customizing lures can be addicting. Quote
mackroper Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Just a warning, if you keep making them look that nice you will be taking my money! 1 Quote

Wisconsin Bass Man Posted July 24, 2015 Author Posted July 24, 2015 Got one more done tonight, something a bit different.... I had my wife pick the bait this time. as for the color. I am heading to northern WI for a fishing week. and on that lake, I have always had luck with bright white and blues. So this one I started with opaque white, then 2 coats of pearl white. got my bright blue pearl and shot it from the top to make the fade down, wrapped the net cloth over the lure and sprayed a custom mix of fire red pearl and lightning blue pearl for the deep purple. Took some opaque black on an artist sponge for the side speckle, epoxy the lure, then added glitter to the clear that was left, and brushed the belly. Hope you enjoy! http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/gallery/sizes/14707-3rd-lure/large/ http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/gallery/sizes/14708-3rd-lure/large/ Quote
