I've witnessed a bass take a baby turtle, so sure they would take a baby gator. Awesome looking bait.

A bass will eat anything when it's in the mood.   That bait is just SICK!

Your skills with carving and painting are just out there, it's not really fair for us average Joe's.

yes! a big bass will eat a gator, have seen it several times..... but so will every thing else, watch for birds and a mudfish will love the look of that!

thats such a unique bait, please post a pic of anything you catch on it

absolutely thet eat baby gators. check out the nat geo movie called everglades:secrets of the swamp. they show a huge bass eat a baby gator. they also show a tarpon eating one.

that bait you made looks insane. if you need someone to demo it, i am your man. i fish the glades at least 3 times a week. does it float?

Looks awesome! It would be really cool if you could put arms and legs on it that would fold to the side when you reel it in but when you stopped it the arms would go out like an alligator arms would.

It looks alive.

You did great.  :)

Dude, you got some serious skills! Awesome lure! If it floats, it would probably get smashed here in So. Florida! :o You see and hear the babies all over the place. Great job! Shoot me an IM if you ever decide to make more and would like to part with one. :)

I think you just peaked the interest of a lot of us florida guys.... how is it you live in washington and decided to come up with a gator bait? lol... I want on the list to try one out!

got bored with doing the usual fish , was watching something on tv about aligators and thought i'd give this a try. doing the paint was the tough part. googled baby gators and this pattern seemed to be the most common.

Holy cow! Great painting and construction! If you catch anything on it I'm sure we'll all want to see it, that's incredible.

PS: I would get a patent on that immediately...And being totally serious, even if it didn't produce like many other lures, it would sell because of its uniqueness and even it novelty value....that's an incredible looking product and I would patent it or trademark it soon....
