Tonight I was hopping a Berkley Havoc Sick Fish under some pads in about two feet of water when I felt a thump. Set the hook and got my first swimbait fish ever. The problem though is when I hear "swimbait fish" I think of something a bit bigger than this:

Made up for it by nailing this chunky fish on a frog afterwards:

You caught it on a swimbait, it's a swimbait fish.

It's green so it counts.

Congrats.

May you catch many more on that swimbait.

Smaller fish will still hit a swimbait, especially one that's not overly big such as your sick fish. Still counts though!

A fish is a fish is a fish in my book.  Way to catch one on something new!

You learn something from every fish you catch.

Even when a smaller bass nails a swimbait, they swing for the fence  :surprised:

That chunk in the bottom pic looks like it wants to be a pie plate.

Nice going.

My tournament partner has been throwing those Havoc Sick Fish for a while. He finally caught his first one on one Tuesday night. Oddly enough, it was about the same size as your fish.
