Vavatron Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 This year my most productive bait by far has been a chatterbait with a swimbait for a trailer. I have been using a specific swimbait for the trailer (Lake Fork Live Magic Boot Tail Shad) , but I am looking for some other options. If anyone uses this combo effectively often, I would love to hear any swimbaits you would recommend. Thanks. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 21, 2015 Global Moderator Posted July 21, 2015 Check out the new Zman Razor Shadz, that's what it was designed for. 1 Quote
blckshirt98 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Swimming senko or a ribbed swimbait like a Keitech Swing Impact or 3.5" Lucky 13 Easy Swim. But really a simple 5" Zoom/Kalin single tail grub I think is the best option. Quote
Brnnoser6983 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 I throw on Bruiser Baits swim trails and they work great. I think they also have a good color pallet. 1 Quote

zeth Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Keitech Crazy Flapper or Keitech Swing Impact Fat for the most part. Quote
Mike2841 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Not a swimbait, but I use the rage tail menace more than anything else for a chatterbait trailer 1 Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted July 21, 2015 Super User Posted July 21, 2015 Not a swimbait, but I use the rage tail menace more than anything else for a chatterbait trailer I just bought 4-5 packs of these to try out on Chatterbaits and to rage rig. Quote
Rhino68W Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 I just bought 4-5 packs of these to try out on Chatterbaits and to rage rig. The rage rig is fun to fish. Make sure you have good bottom contact though, if you don't it's a pain to fish correctly. Quote
Vavatron Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Check out the new Zman Razor Shadz, that's what it was designed for. I went down to Raymond's to pick some up, but I didn't realize that the Razorshad was a new product and had not shipped yet. I like the durability of their plastics. I picked up some other experiments and grabbed two of your chatterbaits for throwing me a solid lead. Appreciate it. 1 Quote

You timed that well, I just took 40 of them in there yesterday morning including 2 new colors that have been doing well for me this year. I'm not sure if he has and of the Diesel MinnowZ but I've been doing great with those on the back of my baits this year. Like has also been mentioned, a Rage Menace grub rigged on it's side has a really cool action on a bladed jig. Quote
BW208 Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Ive only used Kietechs for trailers. Seems to work. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted July 26, 2015 Super User Posted July 26, 2015 Skinny Dipper in Sexy Shad works here! Way up here too. A-Jay Quote
